An 11-0 win couldn't save the Sox, and their season is now over. Where was this offense two weeks ago?
So, it's time now to focus on the playoffs. There's only one spot remaining, and it's almost certainly going to the Cardinals. I like how people were excited about the new playoff system this year because it was supposed to make the postseason races more exciting. That sure didn't happen. Although, one positive I'm taking from the new system is that now the race for the AL East crown vs. Wild Card spot actually has meaning.
Anyway, now we just have to wait for the playoff positions to be set, and then it will be prediction time!

ReplyDeleteFair question seeing as how the Sox are out, but I'll use this as an area to talk about baseball in general, too. Therefore, I'll have a prediction for the entire playoffs.
