- Check out an amazing frisbee catch. Seriously, it's amazing.
- I didn't think I'd be seeing any arguments for Boise State in the championship game this year, but here's one. Hey, I think it'd be more entertaining than another LSU-Alabama game where I fall asleep midway through the game and wake up to find that nothing has changed.
- Apparently most Android phones have some sort of spyware on them automatically. Wonder what will come of this.
- Hanson + Beer = Sure, I'll try it. [via Nate]
QotD: "Tonight, my butt is sore." - Coach K, after Duke lost by 22 points to Ohio State. Sure, he had been talking about how they got their butts kicked, but it's still funny.

Happy half birthday to me.
- Reducer.
- Sometimes Wired takes analyses too far. While I won't argue against that in this case, it's still mildly entertaining seeing them dissect that flop from the NFL.
- Funbag.
- Soon the black bar on Google pages will be gone. That didn't last long.
- Speaking of Google, their latest Maps release for Android lets you go inside malls and airports. Will you ever use this?

- I'm not really a big fan of 3D stuff, but the world's largest 3D painting is pretty cool. [via Matt]
- This is a great flop.
- Here's a cool image from 2001 of a blue shadow hitting the moon. Ahh!!
- Aww, I always knew Gavin Floyd was a sweetheart. [via B-rad]
- Psh whatever, I could make my own iPad if I wanted one, too. I just don't want one.

- Watch out for goo.
- OK, this is a pretty cool easter egg from Community.
- Here are some late submissions... HIMYM spoilers!
- Jerry Seinfeld and the Mets or something. I didn't read it. I'm just trying to find some filler material. Sorry, it's been a rough week.
- For some more serious news, here's info regarding the Arizona plane crash. Crashing into mountains = scary.

- Speaking of soccer, here's your Reducer.
- Speaking of soccer, LeBron James is becoming a true Liverpool fan. He also knows how to read. Who knew?
- If you were to break into Kenny Williams' home, obviously one thing you'd do would be to defrost a lobster, right? It just makes sense.

- Congrats Justin Verlander on being the best player in the American League. Winning both the Cy Young and the MVP isn't easy.
- If you take The Walking Dead seriously, maybe this zombie kit is for you.
- Here's a list of words you can't text in Pakistan.
- Facebook's adding more ads! Wahooooooooo.

- Here's a pretty good xkcd post to start your day.
- Read about some potentially radical changes to the BCS system. Does anyone else just not care about this topic anymore?
- Brad might like this post regarding the Orioles' new look. I found it somewhat intriguing; in particular, I had no idea about this.
- What's funny about this missed open netter isn't just that he missed, but everyone thought he made it.

Happy birthday, Emily! Do you even visit this? Doubt it.
- In a move that surprised nobody but will frustrate many, Bud Selig announced that MLB will add two wild card teams to the playoffs, hopefully (his words, not mine) by next season.
- The Astros will be in the AL West in 2013. No, 15 teams in each league does not make sense.
- Aww, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are divorcing. Been a rough week for Ashton.
- Joe Posnanski's blog posts haven't been good in a while. I'm not sure why the Penn State scandal means he can no longer write about anything else.

- Guns N' Roses still probably sucks. [via scratcho]
- Yeah, probably time to say goodbye to Mark Buehrle. :-(
My news feed has over 550 unread articles right now. Instead of going through it and finding the most interesting stuff, I'm going to randomly choose three articles. Sorry for my laziness.
- Google's having a "These Go to Eleven" Android event that starts soon!
- Thank goodness Thailand has not only a canal, but a SUPER CANAL! AH!!
- NFL players continue to get fined for wearing shoes with colors that apparently violate the NFL's uniform policy. $10,000 to an athlete is like $5 to me, so whatever.
So how'd I do? 0/3 I'd say. Oh well.
QotD: “I'm not supposed to know anything about foreign policy. Just thought I'd throw that out.” - Herman Cain [via Brad, who Five Things can count on for political references]

- Sometimes great soccer goals don't result in great celebrations. This is one of those times.
- I was just thinking that I needed more Brett Favre in my life.
- Funbag.
- Penn State students were sent an email letting them know what to say regarding the sex scandal during interviews. Makes sense.

- The NBA lockout is continuing, yada yada yada.
- Women are gross. Apparently some are dipping tampons in vodka before using them in hopes of getting a better drunk. Holy disgusting.
- If you can't wait to follow more of the god-awful story that is How I Met Your Mother, feel free to check out this spoiler video. Warning: it sucks. But you already knew that, didn't you?
- For those of you who happen to have a PS3, Xbox, and Wii, and you have loads of money and time, check out 15 must-have videogames. I'm not sure how there can really be that many must-haves at one point in the year. Leave it to EW to throw something like this together.
- Some days QotDs substitute standard items. Today is one of those days.

- Verizon surprised original RAZR owners with the new Droid RAZR as a gift for being loyal. Did I say loyal? I meant stupid. (Not because they still have RAZRs, although that is debatable. But just judging by their reactions.)

- Here's one of the more ridiculous articles regarding the Penn State situation: What if everyone involved in the scandal were black? Remind you of something?
- Turns out you can lose weight while eating only junk food. Just watch the calories!
- DD blog post!
- Jamboroo, because there's nothing else.
- Do you think innovation in video games has halted recently, as this article suggests? I don't.

- Reducer.
- Think Insights from Google has some pretty interesting information, I suppose. It's just lots of information about things you don't really care about.
- I didn't know an Emergency Alert System test was scheduled to occur today, and I was somewhat startled when the TV blared an alert (I was home during lunch, settle down!). Nowhere did the alert say that it was a test, so I even thought something might've actually happened. Apparently the test was somewhat of a failure to others, and I have to agree.
- I'm sure you all have heard enough of the Penn State mess, but here's an interesting bit on how Curley and Shultz could avoid prosecution for not reporting child abuse.
- Coincidentally, Andy Rooney's college roommate died at Rooney's memorial service.

- Here are some posters for movies that look like they belong in the Sci-Fi channel. I'd watch most of them.
- For those of you that don't subscribe to Matt's blog, he's been making posts about his honeymoon. If you missed part 1, here it is.
- Funbag.
- Happy 40th birthday, Stairway to Heaven! [via Nate, of all people]
- You can do some pretty amazing things with Photoshop. But seriously, that had to take a long time. Too long.

- After hearing about all the Penn State stuff this weekend, who thinks Joe Paterno will retire before their bowl game? I can see it happening.
- For more on the Penn State stuff, read about how the scandal could affect recruiting.
- For even more, enjoy the deliciousness that six weeks ago, Penn State named a new child care center the Gary Schultz Child Care Center. Apologies to Nate for having three entries that he automatically won't care about.
- Here's a pretty good obituary on Andy Rooney. I always enjoyed watching his segments on 60 Minutes, probably because they were short, to-the-point, and unique. He let you sacrifice just a small amount of your time for something that was silly and unimportant, but I was always amused. I'll miss that.
- Notre Dame sucks, and now they have ugly helmets. Makes sense.

- This is a very entertaining video to watch.
- This isn't a link so much as an amazing thing you need to do. Go to Google and type "do a barrel roll". Awesome.
- You thought you had escaped the Jamboroo posts, but nope. Not on days where there's nothing else going on!
- Telling your children that you ate all of their Halloween candy is cruel and funny. [via Matt]
- This video was made with a quarter of a million jelly beans, and here's how it was done. SPOILER: It took about two years!

- NHL's Winter Classic may be played during some suspect conditions that make me question whether it's fair, but I still enjoy watching it. So hearing about a day-after-Thanksgiving game at first sounds interesting. But what will draw people to watch it? The article didn't mention playing the game outside, so it seems like just another hockey game to me. I mean, I'll still watch it, but will anyone else?
- If I were an iPhone user, I'd be pumped that Gmail now has an app. Finally!
UPDATE: Apparently the app was removed from the shelves pretty soon after its release. Had some sort of bug, I guess. I think it'll be back soon.
- OK, I know I've probably annoyed you with my repetitive posts about Google Reader's new design, but I think this review is pretty accurate. Seriously, the new design BLOWS.
- The Cubs canned Mike Quade, a move that surprised nobody. Some say that this makes way for good ol' Ryne Sandberg to return to the Cubs. But wait! The Cardinals are interested in him for their open managerial position! Oh the drama.
- Weekly Reducer! I swear I'm going to miss it one week. Lucky I remembered this time around. Sure, it shows up in my news feed, but it's easy to miss. I tend to ignore most Grantland posts.
- 6! - It may not be good to take lyrics literally, and this may be two months old, but I was entertained. Probably because I'm not a Katy Perry fan. And this song is terrible. [via Matt]

Welcome to November! It's officially Holiday Season.
- Google just won't stop changing shit. Here's info on the latest Gmail change, which should hit your inbox in the next few days. While I am not a fan of the whiteness (nor is Nate), that was from their last update, so I won't complain about it now. I will say that I like the improved search functionality, and the ability to resize various navigation panes will be useful. Also, I fucking hate the new Reader.
- Funbag.
- Do you think Wikipedia is as important as the pyramids?
- A face appeared in the ultrasound of a man's testicles. Seriously, it's pretty crazy.
- A Wired article about Halo, whatever. Out of things!
