- Come see the results of the Champions League draw. Poor, poor Group D.
I need help. Anyone got anything?

- Bristolmetrics; The (mini) 30 - there's actually some really good information in this one.
- The NFL will use replacement refs in the first week of the season, YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
- Looks like we may have a Contagion on our hands.
- It's an Aubrey Plaza movie, so of course I want to see it. But also, it looks kind of funny.

Imagine if quarterbacks were... wait for it... VIDEO GAMES! [via Matt]
- Umm... wtf?
- Funbag. "Therefore, I think Paterno bit down on a cyanide capsule because he knows that Sandusky once saw him diddling Joe Posnanski in a closet back in '82. THAT'S A FACT." Love it.
- What's this? EPL Power Rankings? You want me to make it a weekly feature? OK! (Still no Reducer. Guess he's dead.)
- Speaking of Joe Posnanski, Sports On Earth (SOE) is officially running. My initial thoughts are that it's ugly. I don't like having to scroll to get to the main content.
- OK this is adorable. [should be via Cole but it's really just me, guhh]

- Read about how a baby became his own uncle.
- No more "Sweet Caroline" at PSU games...
Some concerns by university officials about its lyrics - "touching you touching me" - and the perception of people singing along to them in light of the recent scandal have been expressed.
- The Brooklyn Nets' new arena intentionally looks like shit. So stupid.
- Google's got the information you need regarding Tropical Storm Isaac. WELL DONE.
- Any MMA fans out there? This bed's totally for you.

- Why are people surprised that the USADA is stripping Lance Armstrong of all his titles? While the official news is new, the story is not!
- Dunkin' Donuts is honoreDD.
- Is The 'Lights good enough to threaten Sportscenter? God what a stupid name. I'd like The Highlights much more.

- An old woman was robbed twice in the same day! Crazy!
- If I were a billionaire, I might also buy an island. Or Portsmouth.
- Microsoft changed its logo for the first time in 25 years. It follows the minimalist/simplistic trend that I feel has been going on for logos lately. I'm tired of that crap. I want complex stuff.
- What do you think is the leading cause of death among active-duty soldiers?
- Well shit, Maulik Pancholy is no longer going to be on Whitney. That blows! The whole story of whether or not he was gay was just getting interesting.
- tl;dr defined. Seriously, I hate it when an article looks interesting but is like 8 million pages long. [via B-rad]
- Cute dog!

- Amazon Glacier is here for you to store data that you access infrequently. If you want to archive a bunch of stuff, maybe it's for you!
- This seems like a pretty lousy job at Google.
- $300 for LeBron shoes? Ha.
- Haha FU RVP part II.
- I had forgotten about Nintendo Power's existence until I read about how it is ceasing publication. It makes me kind of sad. I remember reading through it as a kid for helpful hints.
- Funbag; this is like the Reducer except not titled as such, but I'm still going to tag it as Reducer.

- Haha FU RVP.
- The 30.
- Here's a reminder that as a society, we're jerks.
Ex: @Tylercutchall the fact that it's a woman doing the broadcasting was all I needed to hear to know she's horrible
- Rick Sutcliffe is a bad person.

- It's true - Robin van Persie has a little boy inside of him.
"In these situations, when you have to make a hard decision in your life, I always listen to that little boy inside me," said the 29-year-old."
- Why is this still image moving?
- GMiDHF.
- Haha, Notre Dame looks stupid.

- It's nice seeing someone with some actual followers describe why the EPL season structure makes more sense than American sports' structures in determining the best team. Even if that someone is Posanski.
- All hail Captain Verminator.
- Finally there's a reason for Nate to get a smartphone.
- Here's a pretty cool video made by one of the Curiosity rover's creators.
- Bye Bob Ryan!

Guest star appearance by NBG! Even though I have TOOOOONS to do in the next week and a half, having Nicoliosis has me on the couch more often than I should be...
I like the history better than people's annoying renditions everywhere.
Happy Birthday, ole chap! Happy Birthday to this ole poppet as well! Also, happy birthday to the Busse family and Matt this month. yeesh.
For future parents...and for Tom and Jill, cause let's face it their kids have some weird friends :)

- I know I somewhat mentioned this yesterday, but I'll go into more detail now: ESPN Soccernet fans (are there any?), you have one day left of Soccernet before all ESPN soccer news falls under the ESPNFC umbrella. I really hope this change improves their coverage. It sure should.
UPDATE: It's happeninggggg.
UPDATE 2: And it looks horribleeeeee.
- Contrary to what most/all sports fans wanted, people at NBC think that perhaps they should have tape-delayed more events during the Olympics. Let this serve as an unnecessary reminder that money trumps everything.
- Jerry Sandusky is writing a book in prison. Let's hope its title is even better than his first book, Touched, which came out well before the scandal broke.
- Bye RVP.
- Here's some confusing information on Halo 4's player Specializations. I have no idea what I'm reading, but it seems kind of stupid.

- "F-bomb" will soon be a word.
- ESPNFC Press Pass is coming, as well as ESPNFC.com. Get your DVR ready (unless you plan on staying up until 1am).
- This was a fun Onion article, mainly for the last sentence:
"Krzyzewski said he now plans to go to Durham, NC, where he will try to guide the bumbling squad of dickheads on the Duke Blue Devils team to an improbable NCAA championship."
- Funbag.
- If you're a Firefox user, head to google.com and hover your mouse over the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button. If you're a Chrome user, disregard this.
UPDATE: Apparently it works in Chrome and not in Firefox for some people. So... try it and see...

- The 30. Hard to believe the Nats are the best team in baseball by 2 games.
- Wikipedia's got some changes coming. They look pretty good, though I don't have a problem with the current Wikipedia.
- San Diego State football coach Rocky Long is my new favorite college football head coach. Who was my previous favorite? No idea. [via Brad]
- I've been waiting since 2009 for Google to change their favicon. While I still don't think this new one is as good as the first one, I do like it more than the most recent.
- Soon there will be another MLS team in New York. At least that means there'll be 20 teams instead of 19. Seriously, 19 teams... how stupid.

- The problem with today's doodle is that it takes too long. My high score is 51, and I'd love to try to beat it, except starting over from 1 is so annoying. So f that.

- I am terrible at today's doodle. 17.9 is the best I've mustered so far, and that's not even three stars! Maybe you have to make it through every single gate.
UPDATE: 17.6, and I made all the gates. Still just two stars...
UPDATE 2: 16.0, three stars. And I missed a gate.
- This seems like an odd title to a CNN article/video, but here it is anyway: Best parents ever build backyard coaster.
- Jonathan Toews is moving to a different Lakeshore East location. Not sure if this is really newsworthy, but it makes me sad that I don't have the kind of money he has. I'd like to stay in the area and add an extra 2,000 sq-ft to my place. [via Matt]
- Yep, fuck the USA.
- Scary/cool swimming pool.

- Another day, another Google doodle competition. Beat my score of 36!
UPDATE: Beat this.
- Wikipedia may provide a clue to Mitt Romney's VP pick.
- Meet the newest meme, titled "mckayla is not impressed". It reminds me of the Arjen Robben meme. [partially via Matt, although I knew about it and just didn't post anything before. I swear.]
- Mars.

UPDATE: 11.7, three stars!
UPDATE 2: 11.3 (see on G+)
- OMG, protected cell ranges in Google Spreadsheets, FINALLY!
- Here's some info on how to be more secure online. Man, two-step authentication is such a pain.
- Here are those rumored Penn State football uniform changes. Because that makes everything better.
- Funbag.

I'm back! Thanks to Nate for "filling in". I put quotes around that because your effort at producing five things each day sure fell apart by the middle of the week...
- Steve Wozniak thinks the cloud sucks. I can see his point.
- Come read the story of Tyson Homosexual, the Olympic sprinter. [via Matt]
UPDATE: I failed to realize this post is 4 years old...
- The 30; Bristolmetrics, Olympics style.
- Google's Olympic doodle pays tribute to Curiosity. Did you notice that? Do you even look at Google?
- Liverpool update: Big Andy is not going to West Ham!
