MLB Draft Info

We're getting set for the 2011MLBPE draft. A couple of days ago, the draft order was randomly created. It is as follows:
1. Matt
2. Paul
3. Brian
4. Nicole
5. Megan
6. Brad
7. Tom

We haven't officially decided on a day to have the draft, but the general consensus seems to be that it should take place towards the end of spring training. If anyone would like to suggest a specific date, please do so in the comment section.

I would also like to tell you about the somewhat new approach I've taken in creating the pool page. In previous pools, I've relied heavily on manual input for the teams and their associated cells for wins, losses, and other statistics. Now, I've come up with a way where all I have to do is input the player's team name in the appropriate cell on the standings page, and all the matching up will automatically occur. This should cut down on any input errors, and it will make creating the final spreadsheet as simple as possible. Let me know if you notice any bugs!

About That Email...

As some of you may have noticed (particularly those that have forwarded their rmb emails to their regular gmail accounts), the first ever weekly MGNBAPE email was sent out, but there was a probably with some of the information within the email. Specifically, your Overall line most likely read: 
"Overall - Record: #VALUE!-#VALUE!; Place: #VALUE!"


I have looked into this issue, and I believe it has been resolved. The only way I can know for sure is to wait and see next week's email. So here's to hoping that we don't see anymore of this issue.


UPDATE (2/20/11): OK, I'm pretty sure I actually fixed it this time. We'll see come Sunday next week...

MGNBAPE Weekly Email

I have finally finished catching the NBA pool up with the NHL pool. Now users from both pools will receive weekly emails to display their weekly statistics as well as their overall statistics.

I would appreciate any feedback you have on this. In particular, is there some stat that I am not including in the emails that you'd like to see? Is once a week a good frequency for the update emails?

As I stated at the old MGPE blog, this is where I will make any rezmanbrown.com / Rezmanbrown Industries / MGPE posts.
